The Manitoba Water Services Board requests a proposal for for the supply of sewage treatment equipment upgrades to be installed at the site of the existing aerated lagoon.  The intent of the lagoon treatment system is to enhance lagoon treatment, including treatment for phosphorous and ammonia, and disinfection.

The upgraded lagoon will consist of an aerated primary cell with new baffle curtains and upgraded aeration equipment, to be kept at a constant liquid level, addition of chemical for settling of phosphorus, and SAGR tertiary treatment for ammonia removal.  The lagoon will continuously discharge.

The vendor-supplied lagoon aeration and treatment system is to include the supply of blowers, aerators, diffusers, and other required accessories. The General Contractor will be providing automation to allow all lagoon treatment equipment operation to be automatic.

Upon the completion of a review of proposals received, it is the intent of the MWSB to select the sewage treatment equipment upgrades to the existing aerated lagoon (including electrical controls) from the successful Proponent and incorporate it into the overall general contract for the Town of The Pas Lagoon upgrades.
a)    The overall general contract is the Town of The Pas Lagoon Upgrade, with a target tendering date of late March 2021. The contract referred to in this RFP concerns the supply contract of equipment, as well as installation of the supplied equipment, within this project.
b)    The target date for delivery of the Equipment Supplier’s equipment to site is late spring/summer (May/June) 2021.
c)    The Goods supplied under this proposal will be installed by the Equipment Supplier, except as identified in the specifications.  Equipment to be installed by others are to be done under the supervision of the Equipment Supplier

The MWSB will authorize the successful Equipment Supplier to prepare a detailed set of shop drawings and equipment supply lists for the Engineer to incorporate into the ongoing Town of The Pas Lagoon Upgrade.
